Privacy policy.

The short version

Pause prepares a working copy in your browser and sends that prepared copy to its processing service to make the requested project. We collect the least we need to provide the service, process payment, and answer support.

What we collect

• Accounts: email, password hash or Google account id, plan, and usage. We need these to log you in and provide web editing access.
• Waitlist and support: email, social handle, which plan interests you, and how many videos you edit. You type these into our forms or send them by email.
• Purchases: PayPal and Wise process USD payments. Razorpay and UPI process INR payments. We receive confirmation, the amount, and the email you paid with. We do not receive or store full card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or bank passwords.
• Site basics: standard request logs (page, time, browser) that a host like Vercel may keep to run the website.

Your original source file stays on your computer. The browser creates a prepared working copy for a requested edit and sends it to Pause's processing service. We do not use footage to train models. Do not submit material you do not have the right to process.

What we use it for

• To provide Pause editing access and product email you asked for.
• To complete a purchase, issue a refund, or answer a ticket.
• To understand which plans people want, in aggregate.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who else sees it

Razorpay, PayPal, and Wise (payments), Google (if you continue with Google), our processing providers, our email provider, and FormSubmit (waitlist backup inbox) process data on our behalf. They only get what that job needs. If the law requires a disclosure, we comply.

How long we keep it

Account and payment records are kept as long as tax and dispute rules require. Working video copies are kept only as needed to process and deliver an edit, subject to the service retention controls. Waitlist mail is kept until you ask us to delete it, or until we close the list. You can emailedit@pausevfx.com to see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, within those legal limits.

Cookies

The marketing site does not use advertising cookies. Log in sets a session cookie so we can keep you signed in. The host may also set a cookie that is strictly needed to serve the page.

Children

Pause is sold to working editors. It is not aimed at children under 18.
